We have always believed in these two adages ‘The Child is the father of the man’ and ‘We have not inherited the earth from our ancestors, but we have merely borrowed it from our children’. If we were to reflect on these thoughts, it would be quite clear that kids have a very important role to play in our society. However, sometimes, we overlook this fact and don’t understand the magnitude of early childhood. At Sanskar Academy School, we ensure that a kid’s development is holistic and just not limited to academic knowledge. Our entire infrastructure and learning experience are structured around this, making it a wholesome experience for the kids. Here are some of the most distinguishing features: Our facilities : They are a class apart, and include spacious classrooms, non-toxic toys, a sand-pit, a splash pool, a reading lounge, etc. Our academic edge : It is a unique learning experience which combines new age pedagogic methodologies with highly acclaimed international programs like E Blocks and Kinderdance. Our adult to child ratio of 1: 7 is in line with international norms, which very few preschools in the country adopt. Our curriculum : It is in a league of its own encompassing ‘real-life’ activities (like car wash, growing a plant, role plays etc.), discovery activities with academic overtones, arts, crafts, etc Our events : We create exciting times by celebrating all major festivals and have interesting events like annual day, sports day, carnival, etc Our field trips : These are perfect opportunities to explore the real world. We take kids to fire stations, grocery stores, aquaria, parks, boutiques, etc. Parent participation : At Sanskar Academy School, we have various events like PTIF (Parent-Teacher Interaction Forum), Parent Orientation Programs and Sing-Along sessions that provide an unique and interesting platform for the parents to be updated on their kid’s activities.

Our children develop a good percentage of their learning skills before they turn five years. Hence, it is very imperative that these skills are honed properly. A proper preschool structures this growth better. The western world, where maximum research on ‘early-childhood education’ has been done, also concurs that such a school will aid the kid’s future development. In addition to very high academic success, the children from preschools like Planet Kids also are very sociable.

There is ‘sea-change’ that starts around the second year of a kid. Rational views, organizing easy errands, basic oral communication and coming out of home are some of the improvements that you would notice in the child. A right urge at this age aids the kids to react positively. At this crucial age, some essential qualities like studying, conversing, having faith in oneself and caring for others would be developed with the right setting.

Our teaching methods and the curriculum adopted are based on the best practices and methods available around the globe. Some of our activities are derived from the Montessori Method of teaching, but not limited to it.

At Sanskar Academy, we believe that appreciation and showing unconditional love go a long way in developing the self-esteem of a kid. We have enough systems and processes, which ‘monitor’ the progress of your kid. Formative and summative assessments and observations help parents gauge the progress of their kid and also facilitate the teachers to give personal attention in the required areas, if any. The key aspect here is that we don’t benchmark one kid against another. Our structure gauges where your kid stands vis-à-vis his/her own earlier performance.

We take pride in the fact that we are one of the few preschools in the country that maintain the international norm of 1:7 for the adult-child ratio. Our classrooms can comfortably accommodate 18 to 20 kids

Potty training is an important aspect in the growth of a kid. Generally, most kids are ‘toilet-trained’ before they start their pre schooling. At Sanskar Academy School, as a routine we encourage kids to use the washroom at regular intervals between classes, which over a period of time, makes the kids become self-reliant and request help, if needed.

Our initial days are filled with activities like singing, dancing and just ‘doing nothing’, which makes the kids feel at home. Some kids take a longer to adjust, but we provide individual attention. Until we feel that the kid is comfortable and ready, we don’t involve him/her in any academic/non-academic activities.

When kids pass out of Sanskar Academy School, it acts as a strong point on their performance index and most good formal schools gladly accept them. Over the last decade, all our kids have gotten placed in the best formal schools across the country. We train the children through the year to enter mainstream schooling system with great ease. Our programs are structured to prepare kids for any formal school with any syllabus, be it CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE etc.

Our academic term is from June to March. However, for our playgroup and nursery children, the admission is throughout the year

Mother-Toddler program – 1 year to 1.8 years Playgroup – 1.8 years to 2.6 years Nursery – 2.6 years to 3.6 years LKG – 3.6 years to 4.6 years UKG – 4.6 years to 5.6 years

We have a host of programs during vacations. These include summer camps, winter camps etc., which provide a good break from academics yet at the same time they help enrich their minds. They are aimed educative yet fun-filled. Please talk to your nearest center to know more.

The Activity Hub at Sanskar Academy School adheres to the needs of parents seeking out after-school activities. Various interesting and invigorating development based activities are conducted at select centers. The Activity Hub is suitable for children between the age group of 2 years to 10 years. Writing is a much-evolved physical activity. At Sanskar Academy School, we ensure that kids are trained in a scientific manner to develop pre-writing skills, before they actually start formal writing. These include activities that are aimed at improving the finger muscles at the playgroup level. At Nursery, kids will start writing.
